Karen was born in Corner Brook, NF on October 20, 1948 to Leo and Eliza Poole. She was brought up in Corner Brook and received her education there as well. Karen completed vocational training for Accounting and Architectural Drafting. Most of her career was spent working for Sears, North Hill in the window coverings and major appliance departments. She loved swimming and had an affinity for Western Beach and Fogo Island in NF. She was a gifted seamstress and a Toastmaster alumni.
Karen is lovingly remembered by her husband Clark, children Leona, Steve (Liz), Liza (David), grandchildren Colin (Haley), Sawyer, Sarah (Lyall) and her sister Lynn.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, siblings Claudette, Albert, and Maxine.
A Celebration of Karen's Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
