She was born on March 27, 1921 in Calgary at her grandmother’s house and grew up near Piapot, Saskatchewan on the family farm. After graduation, she returned to Calgary and spent most of her life there, to marry, work, and raise a family, until moving to Lethbridge in 2006.
Jean raised her family in the Altadore community, working at Sears Chinook for 20 years as Fashion Manager establishing many longtime friends. After retirement she became an active member of the Good Companions Senior Centre, enjoyed many trips and cruises abroad as well as curling and golf. She attended Southminster United Church for many years as well as St. Matthews.
Jean is survived by her four sons; Tom (Janet) in Kimberley, BC, Ed in Calgary, Ron, Bob (Elizabeth) in Lethbridge; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her much beloved husband Edward (1973), son Kenneth (1978) and daughter Fay (2012).
Graveside service for family immediately and Celebration of Life planned for the spring.
