It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jack after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his wife Phyllis of 58 years, two daughters, Karen (Doug) Nyhoff, Colleen (Geoff) Badger, and five grandchildren, Taylor, Mason, and Kennedy Nyhoff, Allison (Taran) and Dylan Badger. Jack is also survived by one brother, Lance. He is predeceased by his siblings, Keith, Hazel, and Donna.
He was employed by Gulf Canada for thirty-five years and during that time he worked in Toronto, Moscow, Jakarta, and ended his career in Calgary. He was a past president of the Propane Gas Association of Canada and also a past president of Silver Springs Golf and Country Club. In his spare time, Jack was an avid golfer, skier, and hockey player.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 1102-23rd Avenue NW, on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu flowers donations may be made to St. Giles Presbyterian Church or Alzherimer’s Society.
