She is survived by her husband John, two sons Jonathan (Ashley) and Andrew; 3 grandchildren Bria, Camden and Carsen along with countless precious friends and relatives. She was predeceased by both her parents Bill and Olive (Wheeldon) Macdonald.
Heather was born in Newark England where she spent her early days enjoying her time with her parents whom she loved dearly. Heather started her career as a young adult in banking at NatWest Bank where she worked for many years. She met her soulmate John in 1973, married in 1975 and they were happily married for 47 beautiful years. John and Heather immigrated to Canada in 1982 shortly after the birth of Jonathan and in 1984 Andrew completed the family. Heather loved, adored and was a guiding light for her family and was a stay at home parent until 1995 when she truly found her calling. Heather began an 18 year career working as a pre-school aid at South Calgary Community Church she loved those little ones as her own.
Heather's passions were her family, faith, friends and garden. A loving wife of 47 years, mother to two sons who she cared for with everything she had and three grandchildren who she loved dearly. She was a devout Christian which led them to countless lifelong friends through home groups, Alpha groups and Ellel ministries. Lastly her garden where there were never enough flowers and hanging baskets, where she surrounded herself with friends for a good chat and a great cup of tea.
The Lord has welcomed her home into his loving arms.
