Fook Sun immigrated to Canada in 1958 from Taishan, China in hopes of building a better life for his family, the foundation he built for his family will never be forgotten. Fook Sun was very well respected in the Chinese community in Calgary and will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Fook Sun is survived by his wife Shiu Ying Kwong; sons Chiman (Susan) and Chapman (Sandra); daughters May Mah, Loretta Kwan (Ken), Jeanette (On Kei) and Sim (Ricky). Fook Sun is also survived by his 15 grandchildren; Steve (Shannon), Ricky, Nancy, Sylvia, Michelle (Ivan), Linda (Henry), Don (Lynn), Jack, Sue-Ellen, Arthur (Emily), Julia (Marvin), Albert (Theresa), Maria (Vinh), Chelsea (Brett) and Justin (Ivy), as well as 15 great grandchildren.
Fook Sun was predeceased by his first wife Yuk Chu Kwong.
The family would like to thank Dr. West and all the staff and volunteers at Rosedale Hospice for all the care and support during this difficult time.
Prayers will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Friday April 26, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.
