Flavia was born and raised in Hong Kong, and in 1990, she immigrated to Canada with her family. Her adventurous spirit led her to embrace life fully despite facing a diagnosis of breast cancer in 1994. She devoted herself tirelessly to providing for and caring for her family throughout her life. Her curiosity for trying new things also lead her to often sample different and unique snacks and foods.
During her retirement years, Flavia found great joy in playing badminton, shopping on AliExpress and forming lasting friendships. She cherished travel and took every opportunity to explore the world, visiting countries such as Iceland, China, Singapore, Europe, Egypt, and Peru.
Flavia is lovingly remembered by her husband Michael Siu Tong Lau, her daughters Vicky Yuen Yan Lau and Katie Cunningham, and her son-in-law Ciaran Gregory Cunningham. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Tadhg Laurence Cunningham and Torin James Cunningham, who brought immense joy to her life.
Flavia's adventurous spirit, strength, and love for her family will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
