Eric was born in West Shefford, Quebec and passed away in Calgary, Alberta. He worked and lived in Quebec, Ottawa and Edmonton before moving to Calgary in 1981. Eric enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Family was a big part of his life. Eric is lovingly remembered by his wife Barb of 34 years; siblings: Ruth (Ben) Buckland, Janet (Doug) Bates, David (Sandra) Brunton, Mary Brunton and Sharon Brunton; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Lyla Wright and Jesse Brunton as well as his sister Lois Enright and nephew Tommy Bates. Eric worked as a computer systems analyst for several large organizations during his career: Ingersol-Rand, Bombardier, Canada Post, AGT, Dome Petroleum, Petro-Canada and Nova. A Memorial Gathering will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
