Elsie was born on July 9, 1923 in Dermansdorf, Ukraine. She lived a courageous life, going through difficult times during the war. Starting over in Germany after the war, Elsie immigrated to Canada in 1948. Through it all, she remained positive, worked hard and her strength of character persevered leaving family and friends with many fond and loving memories. Elsie was an astute business woman and worked alongside Harry in his many enterprises.
Mourning her loss is her husband Harry of 66 years; two sons, Richard of Calgary, Peter (Tricia) and grandson Caelan of Vancouver, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elsie was predeceased by an infant daughter, son Asim (Dieter) 2009, her parents and siblings.
A private funeral service will be held to honour a life well lived.
