Arlene passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 with her family by her side at the age of 78 years in Calgary, Alberta.
Arlene was predeceased by her parents John and Nell Ainsley, as well as her brother Bob.
Arlene is survived by her daughter Louise Fenn (Mike Gallant) of Okotoks, and son Ron & Rosemary Young of Calgary; and by four grandsons, Lucas and Apollo, Fenn and Brandon, and Aaron Young.
Arlene was an active part of the Bowness Community for many years, organizing high school reunions for Bowness High School and was a wealth of knowledge for different Bowness publications. She enjoyed spending her time making crafts and cards and participating in the many community sales. Arlene enjoyed many trips to Bowness Park to take pictures and take the grandkids for snacks in the park.
Arlene’s Happy Place was Las Vegas, where she took 13 trips with her mom Nell and many other friends.
Arlene will be sadly missed by her loving family, fur grandbabies, and many friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
