Anne was born on July 23, 1946 in Melfort, SK to William (d 1987) and Julie (d 2019). She was the second oldest of 9 children.
Loved sister of Ruth (d 2015), Alexandra, Adele (d 1999), Linda, Paul, David (Anna K), Marie, and Henry (Anna J). Anne had 22 nieces and nephews and 45 great nieces and nephews.
She spent a lot of time with the kids and has left them with wonderful Aunty Anne memories. She will be lovingly remembered by longtime family friend Anna and many close friends that she has known for years.
Her career in software programming took her from Guelph, ON to Ottawa then Calgary. Her interest in art took her to Edmonton and Banff to attend classes. Her love of travel took her across Canada many times, to Arizona, Hawaii, Europe and her “dream trip” to China.
She was a talented artist and photographer. She loved taking old things and giving them a new look. Her artwork (paintings, mosaics, rugs, wall hangings) are lovingly displayed in many homes. Through the years, she documented special and everyday moments with the wonderful photos she took. She shared her love of Tai Chi with many. Her ease of flow was inspiring. She was also an enthusiastic gardener, enjoying the changes, creativity and helping others in their gardens to create and nurture their visions.
Mentor and friend to so many. She will be missed.
At Anne’s request, there be no Memorial or End of Life service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Agape Hospice, 1302 8th Ave NW Calgary AB T2N 1B8. Words cannot express the gratitude the family feels for the kind and gentle caring and peaceful environment they provided for Anne.
