Anne Helzer

August 15, 1914- September 24, 2013

Anne Helzer passed away at the Carewest George Boyack in Calgary, AB on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the age of 99 years.

Anne is survived by her sons Harold (Evelyn) Helzer, Garry (Ada) Helzer; grandsons Craig (Connie) Sneddon, John (Sara) Helzer and David (Susan) Helzer; granddaughters Sandra (Mike) Gorman, Lori (Richard) Malone, Jodi (Nick) Parkinson and Bonnie (Andy) Zoboski as well as sixteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John; son Norman; daughter Patricia; son-in-law Don; grandson Jeffrey; great grandsons Mackenzie and Reid; seven sisters and three brothers. Anne was born in Stony Plain, AB to Peter and Elizabeth Schnell. She married John Helzer and they made their home in Crossfield, AB. Anne moved to Calgary in 1977.

A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Interment of Anne’s urn will take place at Crossfield Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Salvation Army, 9618 - 101A Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 0C7.
