Andrew was born in 1982 and grew up in Ajax and Ottawa, Ontario. After graduating from Colonel By High School, Andrew continued his education at the University of Ottawa where he graduated with a B.A. in History in 2005.
He then moved to Calgary and began a fourteen year career as a devoted "WestJetter". Working as a customer service agent, shift lead and flight attendant, he made a difference in the lives of colleagues and passengers alike, always greeting others with a friendly smile. He was quick to step into all situations and help in any way that he could- including convincing passengers that "emotional support rats" were not appropriate cabin baggage.
Andrew's love of people was also expressed through his passionate involvement in the Koinonia Group at Centre Street Church. He attended many of its meetings and events, reaching out to others and making a difference in their lives. It was a joy for him to serve the Lord at Centre Street Church and in all areas of his life.
Andrew loved playing cards, bowling, golf, movies, 80's/90's music, and professional wrestling. Most of all, he loved his family, friends, and favourite dog, Yahtzee.
Andrew is remembered as the beloved son of Sharron and Ian Gray, and devoted brother of Angela Gray. He is fondly remembered by his Aunt Maxine Fleming and cousins, Jessica Harvey and Melanie (Chris) Bain. He was the grandson of the late Mary and Donald Gray of Calgary, Alberta, and of the late Marion and Lloyd Brown of Chatham, Ontario.
A short life, well lived. The lives of many others have been blessed through the presence of Andrew Gray in this world. We loved him dearly and he will be truly missed.
