Sylvia Ann Van Baren, age 79 of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Tilly Brummel; mother and father-in-law John and Grace Van Baren; and in-laws Gise Van Baren, Eileen and Don Hauck, and Alice Van Baren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; children Dave and Nancy Van Baren, Bryan and Elizabeth Van Baren, Nancy and Loren Gritters, Marcia and Marvin Gritters, Richard and Shawna Van Baren, Kathy and Michael Miller, and Kevin and Nicole Van Baren; 32 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings Andy and Judy Brummel, Trude and Ade Lenting, Al and Sharon Brummel, Delma and Dale Post, Twyla and Glen Griess, Joe and Mary Brummel, and Gleny and Ken Feenstra; in-laws Clara Van Baren, John and Judy Van Baren, and Ruth and Tom Oosterhouse.
Due to current Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held. There will be a link to livestream the service; it will be available Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. on Grace Protestant Reformed Church website at www.graceprc.org.
