Edith “Marilyn” Elliott, age 96 of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was the daughter of Floyd and Adele Pfeiffer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; siblings Otis Pfeiffer, Lillian Timmer, Dan Pfeiffer. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her children Joanne (Tom) Buck, Roy (Marilyn) Elliott, Tim (Faith) Elliott, Tom (Corinna) Elliott, Nancy (Craig) Meyer, Mari (Todd) Foster; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Norine (Harold) Burgess.
Marilyn was a charter member of Byron Center Bible Church and served on the missions committee for over 50 years. She helped develop the library at Byron Center Bible Church. She was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and was known for her homemade wheat bread. Marilyn enjoyed sewing and loved to read. She taught and substituted in several Byron Center schools and helped with the hot lunches for many years.
A time to visit with family will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m., at Byron Center Bible Church, 8855 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center.
