She was born October 23, 1930 in Colorado City, Texas to the late Jesse and Ophelia Ratliff.
She married JD Fowler on May 17, 1953 and they had 4 children.
Ruth is survived by her baby brother Joe Ratliff and her children, Lynn Fowler, Doug and Barbara Fowler, Cheryl Wagoner, and Karen Wyatt. Her 11 Grandchildren, Rushell and Victor Chaltain , Renee and Miguel Leon, Michael Fowler, Shane Fowler, Crystal and Michael Everett, Angel and Steven Blackard, Justin Fowler, Jill Shifflett, Jeffrey and Amanda Shifflett, Nathan and Michelle Klein, Shawn and Holli Klein. She was blessed with her 21 Great grandchildren, Danielle, Luke, Brandon, Dylan, Sebastian, Logan, Addison, Raleigh, Cooper, Kaden, Lilly, Rylie, Jordan, Oceona, Isnaha, Josiah, Faith, Adie, Wesley, Isaiah, and Madelyn. 3 Great-Great Grandchildren Amelia, Chloe, and Kendal and, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and adopted grandchildren and friends she loved and touched so deeply.
Ruth is preceded in death by her Husband, JD Fowler, parents Jesse and Ophelia Ratliff, her sister Fawncil Seay.
Ruth received the Holy Spirit and was Baptized in Jan 1945, where she remained a faithful saint of the United Pentecostal Church until going home to meet her savior. She was a secretary, pianist and Sunday school teacher and with her many talents she helped start several churches in the area, most recently New Life Burnet, where she attended until her passing.
She received her bachelor's degree in Business from Central Texas College, and she took pride in voluntarily keeping the books and being the secretary/treasurer for her church.
She had such a kind servants heart, always ready to serve and help others. From spending time with her family to selling her plants at her church ministry (Martha’s Ministry). Her home was like home for many, she enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her plants. She was an avid bible reader having read the Bible well over 50 times throughout her life.
She also loved playing instruments she played the piano, accordion, and guitar.
She was a loving wife,mother, Grandma, sister and friend and most importantly she was a Godly women and prayer warrior.
She is known to friends and family as Mrs. Ruth or Grandma Ruth and for running the Fowler Daycare in Burnet for 15 plus years where she was licensed for 51 kids and also for being a foster parent for 30 plus years helping over 100 kids feel loved and cared for during their difficult time in life.
Viewing will be Thursday from 6-8pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Tx.
Funeral Services will be Friday, May 6 at 2pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet Tx.
Graveside will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Tx immediately following the service.
