Robert E. (Bob) Stacks, 66, of Marble Falls died March 13, 2011. He was born April 11, 1944 in San Bernardino, California to Clif and Mae Stacks. He served 13 years in the U.S. Navy. He was a General Contractor for 20 years in Burnet County. He served as a Correctional Officer for the Texas Department of Crimminal Justice for the last 17 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Nancy Johnston Stacks. His brother Ben Stacks of Highland, California, his sister Linda Gammill of Lacey, WA, daughter and son-in-law Angel and Alan Meador of Garland, TX, daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Barry Pryce of San Antonio, TX, son and daughter-in-law Sam and Cheryl Stacks of Marble Falls, TX, daughter Sara Stacks of Midland, TX, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. He will be remembered most for his great and sometimes warped sense of humor along with his obsession to always be early.
Visistation will be Tuesday, March 15th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX. Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeland Hills Memorial. Honorary Pallbearers are Aaron Meador, Barry Pryce II, Strait Stacks, Cobey Lusinger, Tommy Long, Jimmy Green, Cody Bristow, Jerry Newton, Bub Lastly, and Raymond Hall.
