Mary Ann was the heart of her family, leaving behind three children and one cherished grandchild. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially by her daughter, Laura Ann Eckert of Burnet; her son, Eric, and his wife, Katya, of Washington DC, whose daughter, Sophia, was the joy of Mary Ann's life; and her son, Lyle, of Austin. Mary Ann was known for her love of family, friends, the University of Texas, happy hours, and gatherings with her "chicks". Her fun-loving nature and gentle spirit touched everyone she met.
She was a wonderful wife, dedicated to caring for her family, making a home where love, lessons, and friends were welcome. Her life was a testament to the beauty of family bonds and the strength of love.
Mary Ann will be remembered not only for the love she gave but also for the love she inspired in others. She leaves behind a legacy of love that continues to live on in those she adored.
A special thank you to her unwavering, outstanding, and compassionate caregivers, Aarin and Priscilla, as well as the exceptional care provided by the New Century Hospice team.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2025.
Rest in peace, sweet mother and friend, Mary Ann. You were truly loved and will be truly missed.
