Kenneth E. Brown was born January 7, 1930, in Butler, Missouri to Rhoda Seward and Jacob Brown. He had two brothers, Sylvester Hartsell and David Brown as well as three sisters, Alberta Crabtree, Edith Thornburg and Violet Longo, all of whom preceded Kenneth in death.
Kenneth and his wife, Velma Ilene (McCoy) Brown married in July 1952 and have four daughters; Barbara (Bob) Russell, Susan (Jim) Alstatt, Nancy King, and Linda (Gary) Brown. Also surviving are many grand, great-grand, great great-grandchildren.
Kenneth had a hard life growing up during the depression but he joined the Air Force when he was 21 and that made a very good life for him. He stayed in the Air Force for twenty years and during that time a year in Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star. After retirement as a Tech Sgt. from the Air Force Kenneth worked for the State of Texas for 17 years.
Kenneth was always very dedicated to making a good life for his family. He and his wife Ilene retired to the country outside of Burnet and enjoyed their retirement years there.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday August 24 from 6 to 8 PM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. The graveside service will follow Sunday August 25 at 2 PM at Bethel Cemetery with Reverend Barry Drake and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard presiding.
