Debbie Denise Shannon Collier was born on May 15,1968 in Georgetown, Texas and went to meet the Lord on October 14, 2017. Debbie attended Bertram Elementary and graduated from Burnet High School. She was an employee of Gleaming Cleaning, Inc. for 16 years until she became an expectant mother with her first and only child, Case, who became the love of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother. She also loved her brother Gaylon so much that she was like a mother hen to him. When he was little and happened to get hurt she would be the one to cry.
Debbie was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and a niece and nephew. Debbie is survived by her husband Chad Collier and son Case; her parents Rocky and Adene Shannon; brother Gaylon Shannon and wife Tina; in-laws James and Judy Hardin, and mother-in-law and Charles and Nancy Collier; sister-in-law Chandler Collier and husband Seth Granberry; brother-in-law Clint Collier and wife Trudy Collier; brother-in-law Jimmy Hardin; dearly loved niece Chloe Jewel Shannon; and nephews Carson Hardin, Chris Reyes, Nick Brainard, and Blake and Garrett Atkison.
We want to mention three very special friends: Christie Arlet, Rebecca Noah and Rachael Smith, who laughed and cried with Debbie throughout her cancer journey. They were very loving and caring friends. In the last few weeks of Debbie's life they gave up their time with their family to spend with her, and rarely left her side. We would also like to add our appreciation to all family members and friends for time well spent with Debbie.
Debbie loved the Lord and attended the First Baptist Church in Bertram. She was kind to everyone and had a gentle spirit with everyone that she knew. She loved to laugh and tell stories of her youth with her friends and family and always had an infectious smile.
