Born July 4th, 1923 in Hai Phong, Vietnam, Minh was a civil war survivor who set out to start a new life in Vancouver, Canada in 1986. He was a very devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather to all his children and grandchildren. Minh will be lovingly remembered for his wit, intelligence, and persistence, as well as for being a very handy person able to fix anything, and an unending provider of knowledge and support.
Minh will be forever remembered by his wife of 67 years, Hao Lien and his children, Ban (Hao), Trieu Bang (May), Trieu Duong (Tu Dao), Linda (Van Sieu) Dam, Colin (Rita), Sandy (Linh) Lieng.Minh will also be fondly remembered by his fourteen grandchildren, Cathy (Michael), Wilson (Celerina), Victor, Yvonne (David), Elaine, William (Brenda), Betty (Duy), Kristy, Michael (Sarah), Kevin, Vanessa, Jessica, Sydney and Ryan, and by his five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Celeste, Khan, Scarlett and Lilith.
A funeral service in memory of Minh will be held on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at 9:30 am, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby BC, with Monk. Liu Pak to lead the Buddhist service.
For those who wish to say farewell before the funeral, an evening of visitation will take place in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7th. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm.
