It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shiu Ngor Wong at 99 - mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Shiu Ngor was born in Toisan and immigrated to Vancouver in 1984. She was a loving and caring woman supporting not only her family but others in need. She spent much time taking care of the Pui (Steven), Cheung (John), and Suet Fong (Wendy) while their parents were hard at work. She lived a full and satisfying life, spending the last 31 years living together with family in Vancouver.
Shiu Ngor spent the last few months living at St. Vincent’s Langara where she enjoyed the wonderful support of the nurses, staff and management. Over the few months, the St. Vincent’s staff provided her with level of comfort, care and support that was truly amazing. The family's appreciation goes out to all the staff and professionals who helped us all through this difficult process.
A viewing service will be held at Ocean View Cemetery (4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby BC). Monday March 23 at 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Services will be at the Chapel at Ocean View Cemetery March 24 at 1:00pm.
