Mr. Robert Chin-Ling Lu

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy, and two children: Jessica and Jasper. Robert was born in Taipei, Taiwan, the first of five siblings. He married Nancy in 1986 and had two children shortly after. Robert and his family immigrated to Canada in 1994 and established a life in Richmond, BC.

Robert had an adventurous spirit and took family and friends on road trips all over North America, with highlights such as camping in Alaska to see the Northern Lights and driving in the winter to see a snow-covered Grand Canyon. He brought passion into his many hobbies, such as photography, poetry writing, travelling, home renovations, maintaining a koi fishpond and hosting parties for many friends. He was always ready to provide advice on a wide variety of topics and was very knowledgeable from being a lifelong learner.

As a dedicated volunteer to his community, Robert was a member of the Rotary Club of Richmond and he and his wife Nancy were active members of the Vancouver Chinese Family Association. At every event, Robert can be remembered for always having a camera on hand to photograph the events, leaving a wonderful memory for everyone in the Taiwanese and Canadian communities.

A memorial service for Robert will be held on October 7th at 9:30am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Burnaby. BC.
