Rita Filippelli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, nonna, and sister, Rita Filippelli. She was born on October 9th, 1943 in Piane Crati, Calabria, Italy and passed away surrounded by the love and loyalty of her family on November 18th, 2024. She is survived by her loving family: her devoted husband Giuseppe; her children – Maria (Paolo), Domenico (Maryann) and her grandchildren, Danica (Anthony), Christina, Jessica (Filippo), Michaela and her dear sister Elena (Salvatore) and many other relatives and friends.

She will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends. We are comforted that she is no longer suffering and may her soul rest as she joins her parents, brothers, sisters and many other loved ones.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 27 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish – 555 Slocan St. Vancouver. Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum.
