Natalino Manzi

Natalino is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Santina, Daughter Maria ( Anselmo), son Achille ( Maria), his loving grandchildren Jason, Steven, Jeffrey ( Emily) , Diana ( Nathan), Michael and 2 great granddaughters Mila and Margot, his brother Roberto and sisters Annina and Emma. Natalino was predeceased by his parents Achille and Maria Manzi, sisters Gina, Erminia and brother Giovanni.

Growing up in Bagnoli in the 1930s, was not easy as his family had very little.Through his early years, he learned the importance of family and hard work to overcome any obstacle. The war brought more challenges to overcome, but the family endured. He married the love of his life, Santina, in 1953. Natalino and Santina had a long and happy marriage of 71 years. After welcoming 2 children to the world, Natalino immigrated to Canada in 1962 in search of a better life for his young family. He was joined by his family and parents in 1967. He started with very little, but with hard work, determination, and hope, he created this better life for his family. He was very proud of Manzi Brothers, the business created with his 2 brothers. It had a lasting reputation for quality and craftsmanship that is still respected today. In his retirement, Natalino enjoyed his Giardino, making wine and his famous prosciutto. But what he loved most of all was sharing them with his family and friends. Old and new friends could never leave his house without a little packet of prosciutto, some wine or some fresh tomatoes.

He was a friend and mentor to many and was always generous with his time, wisdom and love. He leaves a lasting legacy that is an inspiration for his family and friends, alike. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Natalino will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC V5C2J6. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan St, Vancouver, BC V5K 3X5. The entombment will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC V5J 1A4.
