It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nonna and Bisnonna. She was born September 19, 1920 in Gerocarne, Vibo Valentia, Italy and passed away February 23, 2017 in Burnaby, BC. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Michele, infant children Paolo and Nidia; sons Biagio and Domenico and son in law Antonio and daughter in law Barbara. Survived by her children Paul, Caterina, Teresa (Paul) and Anna. She was adored by and will be missed by her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be missed by many relatives in Italy, Australia and Canada. Maria lived for her family. They meant everything to her and she meant everything to them. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 9th at 10:00 am at St. Helen’s Catholic Church 3860 Triumph St, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park – Abbey Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
