Giovanna Gesuzza Matino

July 3, 1949 – August 1, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved, Giovanna Matino. She joins her dear parents, Antonio and Anna Maria Spartano. She is survived by her husband Salvatore, her daughters Enrica (Joseph) and Anna-Maria, grandsons Nicolò, Gianluca and Salvatore, brothers Nick and Frank (Marisa), sister-in-law Franca (Joe), Angioletta, cousins Antonella (Alessandro) and Maria Teresa (Roberto), her many nephews and nieces, as well as all of her extended family and friends. She will always be remembered for her warm and generous heart, as well as her immeasurable thoughtfulness.

Extended family and friends may pay their respects on August 9, 2023, from 6:30 - 8:30pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby, BC. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC, on August 10, 2023 at 10:00am. Entombment to follow at The Grand Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
