February 26, 1948 – January 8, 2024
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mom, nonna and dear friend. Giovanna is lovingly survived by her husband of 56 years, Nicola, son David (Jennifer), daughter Tania (Denis) and grandchildren Mia, Luca, Sofia, Adriana and Nicola.
Giovanna lived for her family. She will be remembered as being devout to her faith and family and as having a humble heart.
She was the most generous, loving and thoughtful person who was always a pillar of strength for those around her.
“Thank you for all you have done for all of us. We are so lucky to have had you in our lives albeit not long enough, we will miss you eternally and we love you so very much.”
The viewing will take place on Thursday, January 25th from 6-8pm at Bell Funeral Home in North Burnaby. Funeral Mass is Friday, January 26th at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VGH Hospital Foundation in Giovanna’s honour.
