It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Gim Poy (Steven) Jung at the age of 93 on December 6, 2023. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Gim Poy was born on Sept 10, 1930 in the village of Eng Ping (Yeng Ping), China. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Hing Wan (Lily); his three children: Phelan (Phyllis), Henry (Debbie) & Susan; and his four grandchildren: Michelle, Garrett, Trista & Paige.
Thank you to the Staff at Burnaby Hospital. We are also very grateful to Doctors & Staff at the Home VIVE Program who provided Dad with compassionate care over the last few years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20th at 7:30-8:00 pm and a Celebration of Life on Thursday, December 21st at 1 pm, at Forest Lawn Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak in Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Burnaby Hospital Foundation or VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation (please make reference to Home VIVE Program, direct links to donation can be seen below).
