Mary Ann and Michael Putnam welcomed their daughter, Christine L. Putnam, into this world on March 1, 1972 in Glendale, California. Never a typical little girl, more of a tomboy, she was interested in football, golf, and baseball, and in recent years was an ardent fan of the New York Yankees.
Christine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting from California State University, Northridge, where she graduated Cum Laude. Christine was a freelance writer who specialized in American History. With the help of many presidential libraries, as well as the White House Office of the Curator, she published a book called But the President Wants Meatloaf! about the American Presidents and their favorite foods. She was also published in Persimmon Hill magazine, the official publication of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum; Baseball-Almanac.com; and WorldWar1.com. She was a contributing writer at Baseball-Almanac.com. She was also the food critic at the Burbank Leader for several years.
Christine loved life. She enjoyed several road trips with her mother across the United States, doing research at the presidential libraries, historical sites and baseball museums, with a goal of visiting every state. While on her travels she made friends everywhere she went, even discovering that the gas station attendant in Ohio went to the same high school in Burbank that she did. No matter what life gave her, from embarrassing episodes to near-tragic incidents, she never failed to find the laughter in the moment. To know her was to love her.
Christine resided her whole life in Burbank, California with her parents.
