Richard Villarreal Sr.

Funeral service will be Sunday December 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Interment will follow at the Mexican Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Richard enjoyed life to the fullest. Raised in Somerville until 1972 then moved to Bryan TX. He loved deer hunting, dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Ochoa Villarreal and Maria Ynes Camarillo Rodriguez; brother, Rafael (Rufus) Villarreal; and sisters, Rosa Koehler, Lorenza Deleon, Maria Rendon, and Isidra (Cindy) Lopez.

He is survived by his life partner, Minerva Lara Estrada; his sons Richard Villarreal Jr. and his wife Jennifer of San Antonio TX; Adam Villarreal of Bryan, and his daughter, Eve Villarreal Pena and her husband Robert Villanueva Pena of Hutto TX; grandchildren, Richard Villarreal III and Seth Robert Pena; brother, Thomas Villarreal and wife Gloria of Somerville TX; and sisters, Dominga Fikes of Temple TX; Annie Lindsey and husband Murl of Willis TX, and Connie Rodriguez and husband Joe of Navasota.
