Marvin L. Ward Jr., "Bubba" passed away October 22nd surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and brother. Bubba loved to spend time with family. He was always the life of the party. Never met a stranger. Bubba was a framing contractor for 40 years here in the Brazos Valley. He loved to go hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He will be greatly missed by many but never forgotten.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Virginia Ward; daughters, Debbie Lero & husband Tommy, Tammie Williams & husband Lance, Candi Cox, and Kimberly Mansel & husband Bobby. Nine grandchildren, Dustin McGee, Megan Garcia & husband Pete, Matthew Lero, Courtney McGee, Shelby Lero, Kaile Cox, Tommy Mansel, Bryler Cox, and Madyson Mansel. One great grandchild, Faith Garcia. Sisters, Sharon Story, Sheila Little, Tevyan Mitchell & husband Weldon. Brothers, Paul Ward, Mike Ward & wife Suzy. Half-brother, Dennis Phillips & wife Susan. Extended family, Janet Roark and Jeania Pegoda, and son he never had, James "Cody" Sicinski & wife Shay. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bubba was preceded in death by his parents Marvin L. and Johnnie Bea Ward, sister Cindy Dodgen, and Johnny "Red" Colquit, whom he loved like a son.
The family will receive friends at a visitation Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A celebration of Marvin's life is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lake Grove Cemetery, County Road 161, Iola, Texas 77831.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
