Marie Patranella Stetz went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 1, 2021. Surrounded by her loving husband, children, brothers and sisters and grandchildren. She was born in Mumford, Texas on November 9, 1933 to Frank and Carrie Cuccia Patranella and later married Robert Ison in 1952 and had six children.
She was preceded in death by her dad and mom and two sons Larry Joe Ison and Jason Trey Ison and her brother and sisters Frank Patranella Lucy Vacante and Laura Salvaggio.
She is survived by her loving husband Alvin J Stetz, sons Robert Lee Ison Jr., Gerald Ison and his wife Janet. Daughters Janice Stetz, Linda Roderick and her husband Richard Roderick, Teresa Hughes and her husband Martie and sisters Lena Williamsen, Josephine Rachel and husband Randy, Rosie Quinn, Nick Patranella and wife Josie, Charlie Patranella and wife Dorothy, Johnny Patranella, Sister in law Mary Patranella, Her grandkids and great grandkids and great great grandkids.
Mom worked at Sams Cofectionate when she was young and later worked at Bells Sandwich Shop, but she loved kids so much that she baby sat 10 kids along with us kids.
Mom had a good life and was a very caring and loving person, everyone who knew her loved her. She was a true and loving angel. She also loved to dance and thats where she met the love of her life Alvin. She loved to tend and grow her large garden plants and everyone always said she had a green thumb because everything she touched grew. She loved cooking and canning all types of vegetables and fruit; hand her a fishing pole or mention the word bingo or casino and she was ready to go. She looked forward to Friday night card games and Sunday drives in the country. Mom will be deeply missed by all who loved her and knew her.
Pallbearers will be Chris Abegglen, Garrett Ison, Ty Franks, Logan Shelton, Robert White, John Clark, Randy Williamsen, Stephen Ondrasek and Kevin Williams.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 4, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A mass of christian burial will be held Wednesday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bryan. Interment will follow to Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes that if you don't want to send flowers you may make a donation to St. Anthony's Catholic Church in her name or the charity of your choice.
