Maria Carolina Flores

Maria Carolina Flores, 59, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home in Bryan. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with A Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Maria was born to Casimiro and Elena Estrada Duran on December 25, 1955 in Jerecuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. She met and married her husband of 40 years, Arturo Flores when she was 19 years old and he was 20 years old. After their marriage, they moved to Texas. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, but most of all she loved spoiling her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Francisco Duran, and one son Arturo Flores, Jr. on May 23, 2004.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arturo Flores of Bryan; two daughters, Rocio Flores and husband Evaristo Hinojosa of San Antonio, and Elizabeth Gutierrez and husband David of Houston; three grandchildren, Christian Flores, Evaristo Noel Hinojosa, Ammi Arturo Hinojosa, and Camila Gutierrez; three brothers, Felipe Duran and wife Teresa of Bryan, Benjamin Duran and wife Margarita of Austin, and Filimon Duran and wife Estela of San Antonio; four sisters, Estela Flores and husband Alonso of Bryan, Caritina Benitez and husband Daniel of Mexico, Clemencia Benitez and husband Jorge of San Marcos, and Elvira Tovar and husband Antonio of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
