Marguerite Gamiz Renteria

Margaret was born in Bryan, Texas to Manuel and Mary Renteria on November 1, 1983. She attended Bryan High School, graduating in 2003. In 2009, she met the love of her life Esteban Gonzalez and together they raised four daughters.

Margaret was a devoted daughter to her mom Mary, and devoted granddaughter to her Memo and Mema. She would call every morning to check up on them to make sure they took their meds and sometimes in the evening. Margaret would call to make sure her siblings got invited to get togethers because she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved her Spanish Novelas and her weekly Lotteria Bingo Games when they were available. She was a simple happy loyal sister, cousin and friend who enjoyed talking "loud or louder", because she just didn't whisper. She was loved and will be truly missed.

Margaret is preceded in death by her grandfather, Sotero P. Gebara; father, Manuel Renteria and; aunt, Celia G. Cerda.

She is survived by her spouse Esteban Gonzalez; mother, Mary Renteria; grandmother, Simona Gebara; brother, Juan Manuel; sisters, Leticia Rojas and Mida Barron; daughters, Susana Espinoza, Maria "Gigi" Gamez-Balderas, Alondra Arenas-Gonzalez, Denise Arenas-Gonzalez; uncles, Phillip Cerda, Sotero "Suke Jr" and (Tammy) Gebara; aunts, Antonia "Toni" Flores, Martha and (Jacoby) Benavidez, Bertha Alvarado; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Santa Teresa Catholic Church on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a interment at Bryan City Cemetery.
