Letha Keefer passed away peacefully Friday August 5 at the age of 94. She was born April 3, 1922 to Lonnie and Della LeFevre. She married Olan Keefer on Christmas day 1940. Together they raised five children, Pat, Delores, George, Ricky and Jerry. She and Olan were lifelong members of Trinity Baptist Church.
Letha enjoyed reading, family dinners and working in her yard. She also spent many hours sewing quilts for her children and grandchildren. Letha loved to travel and took numerous trips around the country with friends and family. She will be remembered by those that loved and cared for her for her kindness and loving sense of humor.
Letha was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Olan Keefer; daughter, Pat Ellis and husband Kenneth Ellis; son, Ricky Keefer; grandson, Chuck Ellis; granddaughter, Dana Ellis; and great-great granddaughter, Leia Goldstein.
She is survived by daughter, Delores Ebner; son, George Keefer and wife Kathy; son, Jerry Keefer and wife Mary; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hudson Creek Alzheimer’s Care Center for their years of loving care for Letha, along with Hospice Brazos Valley.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A graveside service honoring Letha’s life is set for Friday, August 12 at 10:30 AM at Bryan City Cemetery.
