Karen was a wonderful  friend and I miss her already. 
She was the kind of friend that was always there when you needed her . 
We worked together and became even closer friends after I retired. 
She will be missed by many. 

I'm so sorry to see Karen has pass. I work with her at the Printing Center. She was a sweet nice lady. She will be miss. So sorry for this great lost. May she RIP 🙏

Karen and I shared many experiences throughout our storied careers at Texas A&M. We worked side-by-side putting the university's stationery system online, then tag-teamed when we had to battle brand rebels. 😉 No matter how stressful the situation, her can-do attitude got us through anything. As others are sharing here, Karen was a dedicated colleague but most of all a loyal friend. Before she retired, we celebrated our August birthdays together every year. 

I was just getting to know Karen when she lost her husband Charles. Throughout those 25 years, she never stopped missing him. The thought of them reuniting warms my heart. ❤️ Love you, sweet friend!

Karen was so many things to me.  A friend, a mentor, a sounding board, a confidant, a cheerleader... She had my back no matter what and truly believed that I could do anything.  I remember during one of my first meetings with her, when I was young and nervous and still finding my footing, she looked me dead in the eyes and told me that she would take a chance on trusting me and that if I proved myself to her, she would be my biggest supporter and advocate.  And she held true to her word until the end.  She was stubborn, honest, funny, knowledgeable, and loving.  There were times she would sit me down and set me straight, but it was always done with love.  She stuck with me through the tough times, watching me navigate difficult life choices and giving me advice but not being pushy, and she was always right.  I loved her so much and it's going hard not having her here.  But I know what she would say.  You deserve to be happy, Marie.  Go live your life and be a wife and a mom  and make pretty things and keep plugging away at your new job because if anyone can make things happen, it's you.  I love you, Karen.  Thank you for everything.

So sad to hear of Karen’s passing. We worked together on countless projects at Texas A&M through the years. She was so sweet I loved running into around town sharing memories and catching up. She will be missed. Condolences to her family. 

I'm so sad to hear this news. Karen was one in a million. She always made time for anyone who needed her counsel. She would spend an hour, or more if needed, sharing her vast knowledge about the printing process. But most importantly, Karen was quick to share her heart. She was an instant friend. An instant ally. You knew where you stood and you knew Karen was fighting in your corner for you. She was incredibly kind, caring, and had a fun, mischievous humor about her at all times. My prayers go out to her family. She was a very special person.
