A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, TX on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM, please join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments following the service followed by a burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Karen Manor Palumbo was born on August 13, 1951, in Dallas, TX to Bill and Pauline Manor. Karen was raised in Dallas where she graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School. She moved to Bryan, TX in 1975 where she met and married the love of her life, Charles Palumbo, in 1977.
Together they raised four children. In 1975 she began her lifelong printing career at Moore Business Forms. Over the years she worked for numerous local printing companies and retired in 2018 after twenty years of service from Texas A&M University Procurement Services, Print Acquisition. Throughout her life, Karen was referred to in many ways. She was a daughter, wife, mother, nana, and friend. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and service to others. She will be greatly missed by all those that she touched in this life.
Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Palumbo and parents; Bill and Pauline Manor.
She is survived by her daughter Amanda Booth and son-in-law Brandon, grandsons Daxton and Sealy Booth; son, Christopher Palumbo; daughter, Lyndsey Christena and son-in-law Johnathan, granddaughter, Sabrina Owens and grandson Aidan Owens; daughter, Sara Palumbo; brother Bill Manor and sister-n-law Cathy; nephew, Rob Manor; sons Will and Cole; nephew Doug Manor and wife Lara; son Declan and daughter Alice; as well as numerous extended family members.
The family of Karen Palumbo wishes to thank Hospice of Brazos Valley for their attentiveness to her care. A special thank you to her nurses, Haley Davila and Terri Ratcliffe, for supporting us during her final moments. If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
