Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 4 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Frank was born September 29, 1934 in Waco the son of Bacillo and Candida (Perez) Becerra. He was a truck driver for 15 years for Mayflower Moving Company. Frank moved to Florida for a few years to be near his family; then returned back home to Bryan taking a position working in the Landscaping Department at Texas A&M University. He retired after a few years of service.
Frank enjoyed meeting every morning for coffee with his “McDonald’s Gang”. He loved to bar-b-que and go dancing. Frank loved to watch The Young & Restless every day, nothing came between his daytime soap. He enjoyed riding around Bryan to see the changes in the community. He especially liked watching and cheering on the Aggie’s and the Dallas Cowboys.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Edna Becerra; and his second wife, Jean Becerra.
He is survived by his children, Frank Becerra Jr., Anita Becerra, Lupita Rios and husband Pedro, Victor Becerra and wife Sandra, Joe “Snoopy” Becerra and wife Sylvia Ramirez, Danny Becerra and fiancé Janie Nieto, and Michelle Becerra Valdez and husband Rosario; step-daughters, Jane Ann Herrera, Naomi Christina Gomez and husband Samuel Sr.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Simplico and Kathy Becerra, Johnny Becerra, Gilbert and Sylvia Becerra; sisters and brother-in-law, Lydia and Pete Valadez, and Yolanda Valadez; sixty-five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and his dog, Pee Wee.
