Frances Rose Daniel, 90, of Bryan, passed away, Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at CHI-St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 28th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A celebration of her life will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 29th at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Frances was born November 30, 1926 in Humble, Texas, the daughter of Guy Ernest and Esther Via Connor Woods. Although a Baylor Bear at heart, Frances was a graduate of the University of Houston and became an elementary school teacher, a career that lasted for over 22 years, touching and influencing an untold number of young people.
Frances was a lifelong Baptist and a member of Central Baptist Church and the Uplifters Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed being a part of Widow’s Hope at Central Baptist Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Daniel in 2010.
Survivors include her children, Nancy Daniel Price & her husband William Franklin Price of College Station; Ron Daniel of College Station; Debbie Daniel Curley & her husband Patrick Curley of Carrollton; one sister, Sarah Douglas of Burnet; six grandchildren, Alison Price Allen, Angela Price Link, Ben Price, Adam Curley, Megan Curley, Austin Curley; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nonnie, as she was lovingly known, was the sunshine in the lives of many. Her love of her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids was her passion. She also enjoyed reading, shopping and socializing with her many friends at Waldenbrooke.
A special thanks goes to her caretakers at Crestview Court. These true angels helped to make the last months of her life a treasure.
The life of Frances Rose Daniel is an inspiration to others to love unconditionally and live life to its fullest. She will be greatly missed.
