Daniel R. Fore Sr.

Daniel R. Fore, Sr, 79, of the Smetana Community in Brazos County, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday May 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Memorial Services are

scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday May 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Charles Benbow officiating. Interment will follow at Smetana Cemetery with Reverend Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating.

Dan was born June 18, 1932, to Albert B. Fore and May Bell Singleton in Buna, Texas and was the sixth child having two brothers and three sisters, Willard, Fred, Alberta, Gertrude, and Eleanor. He grew up in Port Acres, Texas, and like his dad, he worked as a Brick Mason and was a member of the Brick Layers Union for 63 years. In 1950, he moved to Bryan, and met the love of his life, Regina P. Nemec, which he married in January 1951.

In 1960 he was elected as Constable of Precinct 4 in Brazos County. He was an active farmer and rancher. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Age Managers Group, and the Texas Longhorn Cattleman’s Association. He participated in the Salt Grass Trail Rides and participated in the Bryan Centennial in 1962.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 56 years, Regina Fore on December 4, 2007; two brothers, and three sisters.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Patti Fore of Hoover, Alabama; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Darrell Pavlas of Bryan, and Danete and Don Pribilski of Tomball, Texas; four grandchildren, Tim Pavlas of Bryan, Ashley Keith and husband Kevin of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Trey Fore of Hoover, Alabama, and Matt White and wife Jessica of Virginia Beach, Virginia four great-grandchildren, Paris Pavlas of Bryan, Michael, Devin, and Jackson White, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia: and numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends and neighbors.

The family wishes to thank Dan’s caregivers, Patti Murillo, Waverlon Williams, Lashina Williams, Pamela Richardson, and Kiamesha Cleveland for all the love and care they shared with their dad. The family wishes to thank all of the friends and neighbors that stopped by for visits with Dan and his family during his illness.
