Charlotte Schmidt Price, age 88, of Bryan, Texas died October 11, 2024, in her home several weeks after a complicated surgery. She fought valiantly, with a body that was tired and weak. However, she had moments that offered glimpses of her true feisty self. She willingly offered her thoughts and opinions. She was well loved and taken care of during this stage of life.
Born January 4, 1936, in Cameron, TX and was adopted by Sophie Piper-Schmidt. Charlotte was full of life, which was evident as she grew older. She married her husband Alfred Thurman “Boe” Price, Jr. in 1953. The early years of their marriage were spent in Cameron, TX and they eventually moved to Bryan. There they raised three sons and a daughter. Charlotte worked at Alcoa for a short time and then had a career change, attending Beauty School. She and Boe bought a home that had a one-room beauty salon. Charlotte’s Beauty Salon allowed her to work at home and be there for her children.
Charlotte loved her flower beds, and her patio was always covered with planting pots. She loved spending time outdoors. She was in a bowling league all through her adult life. When she retired, she volunteered in the gift shop at the College Station Medical Center. She also traveled every opportunity she had. She especially enjoyed bus tours – everything was planned, and she did not have to do any of the driving! Charlotte made lasting connections with other travelers she met during these trips.
Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended as many sporting events, dance recitals, musical and band concerts as possible. She was ready to go
