William Harvey Jordan

William Harvey Jordan , 74, of St. Simons Island passed away February 4th 2013. Mr. Jordan originally from Belhaven NC, served his country in The United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for 15 years as a firefighter for the City of Palo Alto CA. In 1974 he moved to St .Simons Island where he later started a family. Mr. Jordan worked in security for several years at Brunswick Pulp and Paper.

Mr. Jordan leaves behind a wife Gail Jordan of St. Simons Island, a son Eddy Jordan of Raleigh, NC, a daughter Kathryn Jordan of St. Simons Island, a sister Glenda Simpson, a niece Beth Parrish of Baltimore, MD, a nephew Mark Simpson of Columbia, SC and four grandchildren Lydia Jordon of Raleigh NC, Lillian Matherly, Madisen Matherly, and Elizabeth Matherly all of St. Simons Island.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at Patterson Cemetery in Patterson, GA at 11:00 am with Rev. Kerry Courchaine officiating. Honorable pallbearers will be Eddy Jordan, Chris Mock, Jimmy Mock, Jim Wynn, Wallace Gonsalves and Jay Church will serve as pallbearers. The Jordan family will receive friends at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Shriners Burn Hospital for Children and our local Fire Departments.
