Thomas Ray King

Thomas Ray King, 80, of Brunswick, Georgia passed peacefully into Heaven’s Gates and reunited with the love of his live, his late wife Evelyn Edna King. Thomas was a native of Atlanta and his family moved to Brunswick in the 1950’s. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy and a member of Glyndale Baptist Church.

Thomas served his country with honors in the United States Navy. Later in life, he became a Chemical Operator with Linden Chemical Plant and retired from LCP after many years of faithful employment. He was a member of the American Legion Post #9 and was a very patriotic man. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He had a great personality and loved to joke around. He was an avid sports fan whom enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcon, and the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed fishing. Thomas loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his son. Michael King of Brunswick, GA; his many friends and a special Pomeranian canine companion, Little Bit. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Edna King; also his late parents William Homer and Estell King.

The family will receive friends between 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2020 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Landrum officiating the service. The burial will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. We are requesting that all in attendance please observe the State's social distancing regulations.
