Terry was born in Brunswick to parents John Childs Davis, Jr. and Arnette Edgy Davis. He was a 1975 graduate of Glynn Academy and earned a consumer electronics degree from Okefenokee Tech. It was there he met his future wife, Sheryl Wiggins. Terry continued his education at Brunswick Community College, working towards an electrical degree. He worked as an auxiliary operator at Georgia Power, Plant McManus until retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and gardening. Terry was a big man with a big heart, a gentle giant of sorts! He loved animals and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He was a Deacon and Elder at Brookman Community Church, a place he took great pride in.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Alice Geneva Wiggins, a special aunt, Winnie Dell Edgy and two brothers-in-law, Terrell Wayne Wiggins and David Adams.
Terry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sheryl Wiggins Davis; two daughters, Brittney Falon Davis Eason (Chad) and Jourdain Brooke Davis Watson (Mark), all of Brunswick; three grandchildren, Collier Eli Watson, Brynlei Elle “Bee” Eason and Cooper Childs Watson, all of Brunswick; two siblings, John Childs Davis, III (Janet) and Lynette Davis Adams, all of Brunswick; his father-in-law, Maurice T.
