Terrell Clyde Rooks

Terrell Clyde Rooks, 68, of Conyers, Georgia departed this life, Sunday, January1, 2017 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Brantley County Georgia with Reverend Robert Nash officiating.

Born October 29, 1948 in Jesup, Georgia to Gary and Dessie C. Rooks, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy. Mr. Rooks attended West Georgia College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree, and The University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his Master’s Degree. Mr. Rooks was also a Veteran of The US Air Force. After his military service he worked for Lockheed - Martin and then the FAA. He enjoyed travel, canoeing, jogging, and was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Clyde Rooks, his father, Gary Rooks, and an infant sister, Anne Rooks.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Tao Rooks of Conyers, three children, Sarah Nash and husband Nate of Stockbridge, and Mary Weaver and husband John of McDonough, and Junhan Pang of Conyers, his mother, Dessie Rooks of Brunswick, five grandchildren, Skye and Payton Nash, Thomas, James and Henry Weaver, two brothers, Joseph Rooks and wife Kathy of Midway, and Daniel Rooks and wife Linda of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews.
