Ronald Dale Bailey

He is now walking the streets of gold with his Mom, Dad and Brother. He was born July 27, 1957 in Dover, Ohio to Anna May Johnson Bailey and Dale R. Bailey who preceded him in death. Ron graduated from New Phila. Ohio High School and furthered his education at Mount Vernon University in Ohio. Early on, Ron worked alongside his Dad in the car business. He was a faithful caregiver, alongside his Dad, for his Mom for 9 years prior to her passing. He then resumed working at Harris Teeter, on the island, where his customers were his friends. He continued working until health issues required retirement. His former boss, Ronday Jenkins was a priceless friend to him even after his retirement.

Ron had a beautiful voice and for many years sang solos and in the church choir. He worked in youth ministry for several years. He enjoyed his Bible Study Group from The Chapel who were like family to him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley and grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He will also be sadly missed by his Aunts Roberta Johnson Hicks and Linda Bailey Hockenberry and Uncles Paul Bailey, Jerry Johnson and William Johnson, several cousins (Especially Ruth Immel and Chad Hockenberry that were like his sister and brother).

A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at a later date.
