She is preceded in death by her mother Nora Lee Ezell, father Edward Staley Cato, husband Paul Donald Mullen, daughter Loretta Lee McKinzie, and great grandson Elijah Todd Hinson. She is survived by her sisters Ruby Lee Smith of Valley, AL and Linda Harrison of LaGrange, GA, her daughter Patricia “Paddy” Martin (Mike) of Brunswick, GA, her son Paul Donald Mullen II (Amy) of Weddington, NC, grandchildren Erica Martin Hinson, Mike “Corky” Martin (Jeannie) of Brunswick, GA, Sarah Mullen, Tess Mullen, and Luke Mullen of Weddington, NC, great grandchildren Joshua Hinson, Zach Hinson, Rory Martin, Candace Hinson, one great great grandchild Jayden Hinson all of Brunswick, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
Frances was active in Girl Scouts of America in the 60’s and 70’s and even served on the council for several years. She was a Pink Lady at the Brunswick Hospital in the 60’s and 70’s. She was also known as one of the Brunswick High Marching Pirates Band grandmas in the 90’s helping them with uniforms, as a chaperone, and helped with many fundraisers for 7 years. She loved taking cruises with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Chapel with visitation at 12 PM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mack Tucker and Mark Taylor will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Martin II, Luke Mullen, Joshua Hinson, Zachariah Hinson, Jayden Hinson, and Mark Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Elsharkawi and staff, Willie Gilbert, Debbie Hendrix, Visiting Angels and Promedica Hospice Staff. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Promedica Hospice or a charity of their choice.
