Lisa was born September 19, 1967 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and grew up in Hawaii and Maryland. She graduated from Fort Meade High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University. Her infectious smile and sassy attitude earned her the nickname “Boujee” from her co-workers and very dear Zumba tribe friends at the Club on St. Simons and oh, she wore that nickname well!
Lisa worked for the Glynn County 911 Center as a First Responder Dispatcher. She loved her job and took great pride in helping people through the worst moments of their lives.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Diane Bryant and her father, James Young.
She is survived by her adoring husband, Herb Miller; her loving children, Lelaina Diane Miller and Cameron Zachery Miller, both of St. Simons Island; Stepsiblings, Chris Keel (Steven), Teri Young, James Young (Krissy), all of Maryland and Dani Young of Dallas, Texas; Stepmother, Jeri Taylor of West Virginia and a nephew and several nieces of Maryland.
On her husband’s side of the family, she is survived by her loving mother-in-law, Charlotte Miller of Brunswick; Sisters-in-law, Druanne Van Dora (Tash) of Hartwell, Ga., and Robin Miller and Jane Miller of Brunswick; many nieces, nephews and too many aunts, uncles and cousins to list who all adored her and welcomed her into the family with open arms.
Lisa was a ray of sunshine and literally adored by everyone she met and will be dearly missed by all.
The family will celebrate Lisa’s life by having a visitation and reception on Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at Palmetto Cemetery on Monday, at 11:00 am with Reverend Tim Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Dylan Case, Dale Hutcherson, Samantha Spaulding, Allen Stewart, Donald Terry, Dannyelle Yeargin and members of the Glynn County Fire, Police and EMT First Responders.
