Linda Morgan Knight, 80, of Brunswick, GA died on November 6, 2024 at Southeast Georgia Health System, surrounded by her adoring family. Linda is the beloved wife of Albert (“Buddy”) Clinton Knight, III, with whom she shared the last 44 years of her life in both Brunswick and Jesup, Georgia. They were devoted to one another, as well as to their children and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, November 10, 2024 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Felix Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the funeral hour.
A native of Wayne County and a 1962 graduate of Wayne County High School, Linda received a Bachelor’s degree in special education from Armstrong State University and two Master’s degrees, one in special education and one in speech pathology, both from Georgia Southern University. Throughout her lifetime, she pursued various careers, from selling tax shelters for Lincoln National Life Insurance to teaching special education in Glynn County Schools to serving as a speech therapist for Wayne County Schools. Wherever she was, Linda made a lasting impression, known for her vibrant personality and her exceptional interpersonal skills.
Linda’s passion in life was her family. Serving as their anchor, their advocate, and their encourager, Linda made her husband, her children, and her grandchildren the focus of her life. Through her example and her witness, she led all of her family to the Lord. She is survived in death by her husband, Buddy Knight of Brunswick, GA; her daughter Kimberly Anderson of Brunswick; her daughter and son-in-law Paige and Kurt Browning of Brunswick; her adored grandchildren, Cameron and Maddie Anderson, and Beau Browning, all of Brunswick; she is also survived by her beloved step-daughter Lisa Hess and her husband Blaine, of Jacksonville, Florida; her step-son Robert Knight of Keystone Heights, Florida; her step-son Thomas Knight and his wife Jennifer, also of Keystone Heights, Florida; her adored grandchildren Jessica and Nick Albritton of Perry, FL, as well as Josh and Caiylen Knight of Keystone Heights, Florida. She also loved her many great grandchildren, nieces and one nephew.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Bayne Morgan and Myrtle Purdom Morgan of Wayne County, as well as her brothers, Alvin Bayne Morgan, Jr., Euley Terrence Morgan, and Kenneth Ira Morgan.
