Ken was a native and lifelong resident of Brunswick and was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class 1972. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brunswick and a member of the Covenant Sunday School Class. He was a usher for the Church.He was employed with City Market for 20 years and had been employed with AOJVC at F.L.E.T.C. for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Lambright.
He had a great love for his family and friends. His favorite times were spent outdoors, fishing, riding motorcycles, or at the beach.
Survivors are his wife, Jayne Stanford Lambright of Brunswick, two sons, Ken Lambright, Jr. (Lori) of St. Simons and Kirk Lambright of Brunswick, a grandson, Ken Lambright, III of St. Simons, his mother, Jose Lambright of Brunswick, two brothers, Eddie Lambright (Dorothy) and Rusty Lambright (Claudia) both of Brunswick, three sister-in-laws, Jill S. Reeves (Rick) and Jenny S. Collins (Bruce) both of Brunswick and June Bowers (Bob) of Valdosta, Ga., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am. Monday 2/14/11 in the First United Methodist Church in Brunswick with Rev. Richard Soper officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Brunswick.Active pallbearers will be: Maxwell Smith, Barry Morgan, Buzzy Ramsey, Lanny Mosley, Jeff Kimsey, David Young, Mike Maloy, Mike Dowdy, Preston Newton and Danny Ritch.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Glynn Academy Class of 1972, Covenant Sunday School Class, Stephen Hart, Hal Hart, Dr. William J. Laws, Corky Lanier, David Butler, Mike Haugen, A. J. Berry, Barry Bray, Lem Morgan, Cal Thompson, Melissa Minix, Randy Williams and Barbara Poppell.
The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Sunday 2/13/11 and request those wishing may make contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles or the First United Methodist Church of Brunswick.
