Judith Lamb Ackerman

Judith Virginia Lamb Ackerman, 76, of Brunswick, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Simons Community Church with Rev. David Yarborough officiating.

Born June 8, 1934 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Frederic Horace and Alice Emily Wolf Lamb, Judy had resided in Glynn County for the past 30 years. She greatly enjoyed spending time with local and visiting family. Judy was a member of St. Simons Community Church.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Richard F. Ackerman of Brunswick, and children Dyan Carver (husband Scott) of Crescent City, CA, David Judy of Miami, OH, Susan Ringlespaugh of Indianapolis, IN, Rick Ackerman (wife Julie) of St. Simons Island, Bob Ackerman of Brunswick, John Ackerman (wife Jennifer) of Sorrento, FL.

She was blessed with seven grandchildren who nicknamed her Emma, Gandma Judy and Grandma: Carly, Emily, Jessica, Liberty, Cole, John Anthony and Sean.

She is also survived by her brother, Frederic Lamb (wife Barbara) of Wilton, CT, and her sister, Patricia Turbeville (husband Wilfred) of St. Simons Island.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all.
